A small amount of Petit Verdot and Malbec were added to add complexity and to improve fruitness. Lot 9 is a blend of four vintages that were aged an average of 46 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. The wine has a vibrant, fruity, medium body and a delightfully smooth, earth finish with fine tannins and moderate oak. This Lot 8 exhibits a slight smokiness that is generally found in our red wines.
This Lot 1 is a blend of 2016 and 2018 Old Vine Zinfandel, combined with one barrel of 2018 Malbec to add weight and complexity. On the nose are fig, blackberry, boysenberrry, cedar, and vanilla. Consistent with our approach of aging our red wines in oak for an extended time, this wine was aged for 54 months in a combination of French and Amercian oak barrels. This wine has earthy aromas and flavors of chocolate, blackberries, and dark cherries, with a long-lasting finish.
